We Made the Switch

We made the switch to cloth diapers. Mothers have been doing it for centuries, so I thought I could handle it. Why do cloth diapers scare me so much?
We tried to use cloth with Rhett when he was first born, but we stopped, because he was such a difficult baby...I know, bad excuse. I started to feel compelled to use cloth diapers and I really had no reason not too, so here we are. For now I requested a service...Tidee Didee, until I get brave enough to wash our own diapers.
You-are-welcome Mezzy's tush and planet Earth.

Such a cute little tushie! I'm still scared so we use 7th gen dipes. I know, still not the best, but better. Maybe I'll be inspired by you for baby girl?

Hahaha! Awesome. Good idea to start on the embarrasing baby pictures now, nice n' early. So cute!

It was awesome hanging out with you guys! Mezmur's even cuter in person (Rhett is too). Good job on going cloth. She's gotta be loving it!

It is sweet to use them, I think. I used them on my son when he was little. If you make the jump to washing them yourself it is also very sweet. I have one of the huge drying racks and to see it covered with baby diapers is really lovely. Love Mezmur's tushie.

LOVE HER TOOSHIE. LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT. I also love the picture that includes Rhett with his mandy. Perfect cuteness.

And I should have written "TUSHIE" instead of "TOOSHIE." My bad.

I wish we had a diaper service around here...I am jealous. We are planning on cloth diapering. I hope it works for us. I'm sure I'll be calling you for advice!

Can't comment on the diapers one way or the other. . . until you guys come to visit us here in Florida. Not my area of expertise at this time in my life, trying to stay away from the business end of any diaper as a grandparent. Doing a good job of that so far. Love, LOVE the Mezmur over the shoulder. . . Thanks-MOM-look. If she only knew when that photo will resurface in her life later on. . . the look would of been different. She is cute as a button from any angle. Love to all as always. . . ME

Cute little bum!
We have been using Fuzzi Bunz and washing at home. I love them. It is much harder now I'm at work again and have mostly been using throw aways :(

Welcome to the world of cloth diapering. Not as bad as it seems to do it all at home. Really.

Cloth diapers are rad and not nearly so hard to wash as you might think. Babyworks (here in Portland) is an awesome resource. We use plain ol' chinese pre-folds with a waterproof velcro cover that holds it all in place.
I used them with our first son until he potty trained and am using them with our second son. This time around, they're practically free! :)

I found your blog via Gina's new blog that links to your etsy shop... Maybe sometime all the bolt teachers will get together!

You have one cute family!!!
