A couple of weeks ago we went to our favorite Ethiopian food restaurant...
Dalo's Kitchen. We mentioned to the daughter of the owner that we were leaving for Ethiopia and a little while later her Father came out of the kitchen with this paper where he scratched out a few words and phrases that he thought we should know in
Amharic. It has a safe home in my bag along with Mezmur's pictures and my
knitting pattern (I started this sweater a few weeks ago and now I only have the sleeves to knit).

The
extra week before travel gave me time to finish this doll...that is waiting for Mezmur when she comes home along with her
other doll.

Please keep our Mezmur in your thoughts while she undergoes yet another traumatic transition in her short life. While we have been waiting our love for Mezmur has grown. We love her so much, but she doesn't know we even exist. We are strangers who look different and smell different. Please pray that this transition is a smooth one for her.
Next time you see us we will have Mezmur in our arms.
One more sleep.

God bless you guys!!!!
We are thinking of you guys! Hope you're actually sleeping right now! Be safe, and we can't wait to see ALL of you when you get back, and settled in!!
Know our hearts will be with you every step of the way. . . Wish I was really there to help with your luggage. . . with all the support you have had through this process you will have helping hands when they are needed. Like the support you got from the kitchen of you favorite Ethiopian resturant. . . Amazing! You deserve it all and let it all carry you to Mezmur and know she will connect to your heart for all the same reasons. . . Talk to you when I can and have a safe joyous adventure. . . LOVE TO ALL
