Mezmur's Top

This knitting project took me forever, but it was worth it...
It is the Fiona's Top.
Yes, my house is really this messy all the time, but just look at those happy kids.
I made a couple of mistakes while knitting this project that I'm going to have to live with. Fortunately they are almost invisible to the naked eye...unfortunately I know they are there.
I hope it fits her for a couple of years...at least.

Today? Was Perfect.

Thanks to the rising temperature, visiting friends, Thin Mints, knitting in the sunshine, happy kids...

I think I got a sunburn.

A year ago...this happened.
Even though we thought it happened on the 10th...it really happened on the 18th. Remember that?
So happy that the only emotions of the adoption I'm feeling now are, "Wow, this girl wears me out!"

A Gift for Rhett

One of the perks of having super talented friends...awesome handmade gifts!
My friend Talia made this rocket for Rhett for his birthday. We all love it! Even Mezmur gets excited to point out the "boooon" (moon). Thanks Talia!
Go look at Talia's mosaics and other talents at her ETSY shop.

The Boy Turned 5

My baby is five.

He loves his cat. The last thing he told me last night was, "I really love my kitty." Then, he fell asleep with his arm around his new kitty.

Rhett's Birthday Kitty

Rhett really wanted a kitty like his sister. He wanted it exactly like his sister's. I decided to make it a little different. I hope he likes it. I figured if we had two of the same kitties it would be hard to remember whose is whose...
He wanted me to make sure it was a girl kitty, so she got a dress with pants.

The challenge with the pants? Where is that tail going to go? I decided on a large button hole for the tail.
